This year's No Limits Musical Festival will include some awesome bands; Joe Wortell, Getting Started, and DJ Major Taylor, as well as local artists with artwork for purchase, 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. OTR owns and operates 13 apartment communities in northern Illinois serving over 350 adults and continuing to grow with 2 more communities currently being built. OTR residents live with a wide variety of physical disabilities, and in all cases, they are extremely low income and previously couldn't find affordable accessible housing. This year the No Limits Music Festival is raising money to provide residents with automatic door openers for their apartments to ease accessibility issues. Each automatic door opener costs $3,000 and our goal is to raise $30,000, enough for 10 automatic door openers.
Joe Wortellis a five-piece classic outlaw country band from Chicago that play clever and inspired arrangements fusing subtle hints of blues, surf, r&b, and pop with the great songs of Hank, Waylon, Merle, Cash and beyond. These, along with their finely crafted originals, can veer into spirited improvisational jams but never stray too far from the essence of a great song.
Getting Started is a Chicago based indie-rock band established in 2022. The quartet - Jack Gallo [vocals/rhythm guitar], Matt Stein [lead guitar], Pat Hickey [bass], Jack Scanlon [drums] - found their sound by starting as a cover band, experimenting with all genres of music, ranging from The Strokes & Kings of Leon, all the way to Dua Lipa & Frank Ocean.
They have entertained crowds across the Chicagoland area, including legendary venues The Cubby Bear, The Hideout, and Subterranean, as well as multiple sold out shows at HVAC Pub, Uncommon Ground & The House of Blues Foundation Room.
They are beginning to make their mark on the Chicago music scene, and they’re just Getting Started…
